A number of car parks are closed this Easter bank holiday weekend to stop people driving unnecessarily during the coronavirus lockdown.
Watford Borough Council, Hertsmere Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council have closed several car parks temporarily until further notice on the advice of police.
The move has been made to support the Government’s instruction for restricted travel and localised exercise only to limit the spread of the Covid-19.
This weekend people across the country are being urged to obey the coronavirus lockdown restrictions, with temperatures in and around Watford set to reach 22c.
People should only leave their home to shop for essential items, get exercise once a day and travel for essential work.
Government guidance also says that those who do go out should only do so with members of their household and must stay two metres (6ft) away from other people at all times.
