A new footbridge connecting an office headquarters looks to be nearing completion.

Watford Junction commuters or visitors to Clarendon Road may notice that the skyline is looking a little different these days.

Construction workers have been busy creating a new bridge which will run between TJX's redeveloped headquarters in Clarendon Road, which overall remains under construction.

Clarendon Road was closed last week near Station Road to allow the bridge to be fitted.

In 2017, Watford Borough Council granted planning approval for the development of new office space, which will host the new European headquarters of TJX Europe, the operator of the TK Maxx and Homesense retail chains.

The plans included a 12-storey block and a footbridge link to the existing offices on the other side of the road.

The new building will include a basement car park for 100 cars and 210 bikes accessed from Verulam Passage.

A small ground floor area is allocated for potential retail use, facing Watford Junction station.
