A housing contractor and property developer has increased its backing of Watford FC by showing their support for the club’s Community Sports and Education Trust.

The Bugler Group, which is based in offices in Rickmansworth, has been a long-standing partner of the Hornets and is an executive club member at Vicarage Road.

The family-owned business has now taken its backing a step further with a £10,000 commitment to the Trust through its foundation, which provides charitable donations, activities and sponsorships throughout the year to individuals and groups.

Watford’s community director Rob Smith said: “It is great local business Bugler Group has made a commitment to the Trust and our communities.

“Their support, particularly at a time of unique challenges for the charity sector is well received and will undoubtedly help us to continue making a positive difference to local lives. We look forward to this bring the start of a long and fruitful relationship.”

Formed in 1982, the Bugler Group is a specialist affordable housing contractor and residential property developer operating in London and the south east.

Chief executive Andy Bugler said: “As a business based on the Watford area and with the Bugler family’s life-long support of Watford FC, we have always been aware of and admired the great work of the Trust have done in helping a diverse range of local people and initiatives.

“Throughout the years, we have supported numerous charitable and community causes, establishing the Bugler Foundation in 2019 to formalise this.
