Hello, my name’s Ty and I’m a handsome, friendly four-year-old boy.

I’ve had a bit of a rough time this year and it’s knocked my confidence so I can be nervous of new people and new situations.

I’ll need an experienced owner with a gentle, patient approach - somebody who’s willing to take their time building a bond with me. But once I get to know you, I’m very affectionate and love being close to you.

I get very lonely when I’m on my own, so I’ll need an owner who’s home most of the day to keep me company.

Watford Observer:

I’m looking for a quiet home with adults or families with children age 12 and over where I’d be the only pet.

Although as a medium-sized Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, I may look like a brave boy, I’m nervous of other dogs so I’ll need more socialisation once I’ve settled in.

People think that just means playing with other dogs but it’s also about exposing me to as many different sights, sounds and smells as you can and introducing me to different types and sizes of well-mannered dogs too.

Watford Observer:

Coming from the NAWT, I’ve been medically checked by a vet; vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered; given an individual training plan and four free weeks of Petplan insurance.

If you can give me the loving home I deserve, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange a visit.
