Actor Robert Pattinson has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus throwing the production of the new The Batman film into chaos.
The film is currently being produced at Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden and the studios have confirmed filming has been paused.
A spokesperson said: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused."
US magazine Vanity Fair reports that the person who has tested positive is the lead actor Robert Pattinson.
The magazine said a “highly placed source” confirmed the Twilight star was the individual who became sick, with the Daily Mail reporting he had told the crew he had a “temperature”.

A source told the Mail that the production crew are “working round the clock” to try and film scenes without Pattinson, who is now self-isolating.
The Batman was initially due for release in June 2021 but has already been delayed to October 2021 due to the pandemic.
Filming in Leavesden is only understood to have begun this week with earlier filming taking place in Glasgow.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman will see 34-year-old Pattinson follow in the footsteps of Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton and George Clooney in playing the Dark Knight.
The film also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright as Gotham City’s police chief Commissioner Gordon.
