Watford Observer readers have been sharing their photos with famous faces - and sports stars have proved a popular theme.
John Hickson met Alan Smith, pictured at the top of this page, at Vicarage Road in September 2019 after the former Arsenal striker had just finished commentating on a game. John, from Croxley Green, said they chatted about the Gunners and them manager Unai Emery.
Annmarie Edwards was shopping in Watford town centre in February when she saw Vinnie Jones and asked the film star and former footballer for a photo.
She described the Watford-born actor as a “really friendly bloke to have met”.

You never know who you might bump into in a pub. This picture was taken last year after Marc Saunders from Abbots Langley walked into a pub where he met England cricket star Jonny Bairstow.
The batsman was almost England’s hero on Wednesday when he scored a superb 112 in the final One-Day International, but Australia won the series with a thrilling three-wicket victory at Old Trafford.
This is James Azzopardi pictured with Everton and former Arsenal footballer Alex Iwobi back in 2017.
James, from Watford, explained: “When I used to work at TopGolf Alex Iwobi use to be a regular there. One day I had courage to ask him for a photo and autograph.”
