A FUNDRAISER forced himself to jump into a 6000-litre pool of ice cold water for an NHS charity.

Holiday park entertainer Reece Lloyd managed to raise hundreds of pounds for NHS Charities Together by taking the chilly plunge.

The 19-year-old, who has previously worked at Dovercourt Holiday Park, raised a total of £818 from his sponsored splash.

He agreed to jump into the freezing cold pool if he reached his £700 fundraising target.

Reece, who lives in Chester, said: “I got the idea to create this fundraiser after the initial success of the previous fundraiser, called Reece’s Slime Time, in support of the same charity.”

In May Reece raised more than £900 by having a bucket of green gunge poured over him.

He added: “The NHS needs help and support now more than ever in this continuous battle against coronavirus, and by doing this it encourages people to donate to a worthy charity.

“I still hope people will continue to donate as the battle with coronavirus is far from over."
