intu Watford shopping centre could be renamed and rebranded under a new owner.
Shopping centre giant intu fell into administration in June but its sites, including the one in Watford, remained open and continued to operate as normal.
More than three months later, it has been confirmed that a deal has been struck with Global Mutual to take over the shopping centre. Global Mutual is a company managing £4.2 billion of global assets, primarily in retail.
Many Observer readers on Facebook are calling for Watford’s indoor shopping centre to be named once again as the Harlequin.

People who live and shop in the town say they have known the shopping mall in the town centre by the name for years despite the intu branding.
