For those who love delicious homemade bread, cakes and pizza, look no further than Flourish Craft Bakery.
Watford Borough Council has launched a campaign to encourage people to shop local this Christmas and the Watford Observer is supporting this in what has been a difficult 2020 for so many businesses.
The award-winning artisan bakery, established as a business in 2000, opened a café in Garnett Close in 2016.
The café offers a fine selection of baked goods, cakes and refreshments, and is working on opening a pizzeria in the near future.
Run by siblings Helen and Paul, the business counts Michelin-starred restaurants, five-star hotels, and authentic food markets as customers.
“We’re adventurous, bold bakers, never afraid to try new methods, flavours or ingredients. We’re continually tinkering and experimenting to ensure we always have something new to offer," Helen said.
Like many businesses, Flourish Craft Bakery has had to find ways to adapt and survive after the pandemic hit traditional modes of business.
Flourish renovated its café, with the addition of a takeaway hatch and started an online shop offering for local deliveries or click and collect orders.
They are on the cusp of opening a pizzeria in their former loading bay and will announce the launch date in the near future.
Open from 8am to 4pm seven days a week, the bakery has installed retractable awning for those customers who wish to sit outside.
