A BREAKDOWN showing the location of every coronavirus-related death by each postcode area in Hampshire has been released.

It is just the third time since the pandemic began that the official figures have been released, which shows the impact of the virus in one particular area.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has been recording deaths in England and Wales where Covid-19 has been mentioned on a person's death certificate.

Those deaths, which occurred between March 2020 and November 2020, have either been caused by Covid-19 or the virus has been a 'contributing factor.'

This means the numbers are different to the daily death figures which only include deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test.

To give you the latest picture of how the virus has affected your area, The Chronicle has analysed and published the wards of every Covid-19 related death in our region.

All deaths include fatalities that have taken place in hospitals, care homes, at home, communal settings and 'elsewhere.'
