A Watford bar has had its licence revoked following ongoing investigations into alleged criminal activity.

Twisted Monkey and Basement, both venues located at 46 The Parade, were revoked of its licence.

A member connected to the venue is currently under investigation for their alleged involvement in criminal and illegal activities at the site.

The licence was also revoked to ensure the safeguarding of preventing crime and disorder, the prevention of public nuisance and for public safety.

In February, police presented their reasons for the application review, together with supporting evidence.

It was then decided that both Twisted Monkey and Basement would be revoked of its licence.

The licence holder has until March 4 to lodge an appeal.

Further information about the alleged activity cannot be said at the moment due to a pending court case.
