Roy Morris wrote: "I think that may have been the year I was on one of lorries. The Ovaltine factory had a lorry in the carnivals and they would have one serving Ovaltine sachets out the the crowds who were watching on the route."

Anne Hague said: "I used to love the carnivals, Abbots, Watford and St Albans. A great family day out. I guess H&S don’t allow now, shame."
