Hello, my name’s Sugar. I’m a three-year-old girl looking for a home with my friend Skippy, who’s four-years-old.

I came to the National Animal Welfare Trust in December when my owners moved and didn’t have room for me. Skippy was brought to the NAWT after his friend was killed by a fox and he was lonely.

We’re house rabbits who need to live indoors as we like being warm and cosy with blankets and a soft hidey bed.

Skippy is a sweet, friendly boy but can be nervous and may run away when you first approach him. His fur is so long it was uncomfortable for him to be stroked as it can get quite knotted. He needs to be groomed daily but is a good boy and sits patiently whilst the humans brush him.

Skippy may look grumpy and he can be quite lazy but we’re a friendly pair and I’m showing him how much fun exploring and playing can be. Like most rabbits I don’t like being picked up but Skippy is more used to it than I am.

Sugar once tried to tunnel her way to freedom

I once tried to tunnel to freedom so will need a secure outdoor run if our new humans have a garden. We can live with adults or families with children of any age as long as adults do the handling.

If you can give us a good home together, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) and arrange to meet us.
