A driver who was caught going well over the speed limit on a busy road in Watford has appeared in court.
Amreen Hussain flouted the 40mph speed limit on the A41, North Western Avenue, on October 23, 2019.
The 23-year-old was recorded going 68mph and appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday over the incident.
Hussain, of Crossmead, Watford, was ordered to pay £274 and given six penalty points.
Multiple drivers were caught flouting the speed limit on the A41 by officers in May this year, with several motorists clocked by a speed gun going over 60mph.
Speed enforcement on the A41 at Watford, the road is subject to a 40mph speed limit.
We found most drivers observed the limit, however those that didn't can expect points and a fine.
