Residents and visitors can explore Watford for just £1 next week, as part of a summer promotional week.

The minibus service, run by ArrivaClick on behalf of Watford Borough Council, operates around Watford and is designed to encourage people to ditch their own cars if they need to move around the town.

The on-demand service launched last July and this week - between June 21 and 27, passengers will be able to use the service for £1.

Booking via the ArrivaClick app, the minibus aims to arrive within five minutes of whatever location you are in to take you to your destination.

There are no restrictions on the number of journeys that can be made using the offer during the promotional period, however all travel is subject to availability.

The council says ArrivaClick is "perfect for families looking for an easy, inexpensive way to get around town".

The service also includes free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, tables and USB chargers, giving riders the opportunity to work or relax on the go.

By allowing passengers to aggregate their journeys with others heading in the same direction, the service is also better for the environment - with fewer cars on the road and less emissions being created.
