Residents were left to deal with more flooding outside their homes after heavy rain yesterday.
Police were forced to close Harefield Road in Rickmansworth on Friday afternoon after the road filled with water.
Three Rivers Police tweeted: "Harefield Road between Frogmoor Lane & Sherfield Avenue Rickmansworth is currently closed due to severe flooding and to protect residents property from damage."

The water levels were notable and Thames Water engineers were called to the scene along with the police and a highways team.
Neighbours in Harefield Road are no strangers to putting up with flooding in their street.
More than 700 people have signed a petition, presented to Three Rivers District Council last year after Storm Alex, calling for a fix to the sewage flooding which is becoming a common occurrence.
There are two pumping stations in the area which residents believe may be contributing to the problems they face.
The petition reads: "Heavy rain regularly results in sewage flooding the Harefield Road area in Rickmansworth in Herts. It floods out of the ground near a local primary school and blocks a main road; trapping local residents in their homes as they defend their property from the foul water. It also impacts a long term care home for adults and sheltered accommodation.
"We need everyone responsible to get together to find a permanent solution to this problem. As well as responding rapidly with road closures and support for vulnerable people we need other agencies to stop the flooding as quickly as possible and invest in the infrastructure which is failing."
