A play area in Croxley Green has been closed to the public following the discovery of a wasp nest.
Baldwins Lane Play Area was shut when the grounds team at Three Rivers District Council noticed the nest late yesterday (Monday).
The council says the pest controller is due to be on the site this afternoon to deal with the issue, although added that it was recommended the play area stay closed for another day.
A spokesperson from the council said: “The recommendation is to keep it closed until sometime on Wednesday to allow the treatment to take place and to ensure the play area is safe.
“We have put up signage around the areas which are closed.”
