A FORMER X Factor contestant has called out a popular UK fast food chain for supposedly serving her chicken when she is a pescatarian.

Accrington's Diana Vickers took to social media after being unsatisfied with her LEON Restaurants order in London.

Posting to social media, the 30-year-old said: “I’ve just ordered a fish finger wrap at @leonrestaurants Euston branch and bitten in to it on the train only to discover it is a chicken wrap.

“I’ve been a pescatarian for six years so this was very unpleasant for me and I now have no food for my train journey.”

The LEON team were quick to reply to Diana promising to “investigate” further.

However, the plot thickens as the team added that they don’t serve chicken wraps and were unsure how the blunder occurred in the first place.

Replying to her tweet, they wrote: “Diana, we're so so sorry about this.

“Can you DM us and we'll investigate this? We don't currently have a Chicken Wrap on our menu and we're keen to get to the bottom of what's happened.”

Diana, a former Westholme School pupil, added: “I don’t know what it was but it certainly wasn’t fish! I didn’t want to eat it not knowing what it was.”

“Of course not, that's completely understandable,” a LEON spokesperson replied.

“We'd still really like to have a chat in the DM's to sort this out for you and find out a bit more. Drop us a message when you can.”

Diana’s followers were quick to comment on the situation.

One person said: “I don't get how they got that wrong.”

Another wrote: As owner of some (currently very wet) chickens, I can really sympathise with this.

Lucy said: “I’m sure whichever minimum wage worker processed your order is very sorry. Mistakes happen.”

LEON currently have three types of wraps on the menu: Vegan steak, grilled halloumi and fish finger.

A LEON spokesperson said:"We take guest feedback and dietary requirements very seriously at LEON and we will be investigating this with our team to understand what may have happened here.

“We don't currently have a chicken wrap on our menu and our grilled wraps are only available with Fish Fingers or Halloumi.

“We’d like a little more information from Diana and have asked her to drop us a DM to chat things through. We are keen to put this right with her."
