The tree fell in Long Lane (google street view)
A fallen tree caused a road in Rickmansworth to shut for more than five hours.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were called to Long Lane, near Junction 17 of the M25, at 4.10am this morning (Wednesday) to a report that a tree had fallen.
Officers put road closures in place and alerted highways officers who attended to remove the tree.
The road was reopened by 9.40am, police said.
Traffic has now returned to normal.
