Police are pressing on their appeal to help identify a man after a teenager was touched on the bottom as she was getting onto a bus in Watford.

Investigations are continuing after the sexual assault in St Albans Road near the Esso petrol station on June 21.

Last month police released a CCTV image of a man who could help with enquiries but have yet to find him.

A 16-year-old girl was waiting at the bus stop at around 10.40am and as she began to board a bus, as a man touched her bottom.

He then walked off in the direction of Leavesden Road.

Detective Constable Marius Edghill, who is investigating, said: “We’ve been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident and we are extremely keen to identify the person pictured as he was in the area at the time and could have vital information.

“Our previous appeal generated a potential identity for the man but unfortunately this has now proved negative.

“If you recognise him, or have any other information that might help, please call the non-emergency number 101 or email me at Marius.Edghill@herts.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/46559/21.”

Information can also be reported online at herts.police.uk/report or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or crimestoppers-uk.org.
