Footage is circulating online showing a young man badly injure himself after jumping into Watford town centre’s pond.
The video posted on social media shows him stripped down to his boxers in the evening with people heard egging him on to jump into The Parade's pond.
He then runs towards the water – with screams of “oh no” in the background – before launching himself in and crashing down onto something hard.
He then momentarily pauses before trying to make his way back out of the water.
More graphic posts online show his nasty injuries with blood pouring down his leg.
It is unclear exactly when the video was taken.
Over the years Watford FC fans have regularly jumped in the pond as tradition following moments of success - such as after the club's promotion last May.
In a separate incident several months ago a man suffered a deep cut and was rushed to hospital after jumping in the water.
