Armed police officers and a police helicopter were rushed to Watford after a stabbing.

Emergency services were called to reports of a disturbance in Malden Road around 2.15pm on Wednesday, October 13.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says officers found a man with suspected stab wounds.

He was rushed by ambulance to hospital where injuries are not thought to be life changing or life threatening.

Officers, including the police helicopter, armed response unit and dog unit, searched the area.

A 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man, both from Watford, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

The teenager remains in police custody at this time, while the 20-year-old has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Detectives are investigating and anyone with information about the incident is asked to report it.
