A teenager was arrested after a man was stabbed in the hand over the weekend.

Five people were involved in an argument at Lowestoft Road, Watford on Saturday (October 16) at around 7am.

According to Hertfordshire Constabulary, the argument led one person being stabbed in the hand, with the offenders fleeing the scene.

Police were called to the scene alongside the ambulance service and police dog unit and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

It is understood that his injuries are not life changing or threatening.

An eyewitness has suggested there was a “big chase” along St Albans Road a few hours later, with police confirming that a 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident at around 9.40am.

However he has since been released under investigation.

Police enquiries continue at this time.
