If you’re wondering what to do in the run up to Halloween and Christmas, we think we know how to persuade you to get out and about.

The West Midland Safari Park’s Lantern Festival starts on Friday, October 22 and there’s still tickets left. The festival runs through Sunday, December 5.

The Lantern Festival will give guests access to the Park in the evenings where they can follow a trail of more than 1,000 lanterns and lights.

There will be 40 different magical scenes including towering dinosaurs, glowing animals, lit-up landscapes, rainbow pathways and mystical creatures so guests have lots of opportunities to snap pictures.

Also at the event will be 2 interactive lighting displays that children are bound to enjoy, including a magical piano and a tree of light where they can send pulses of colour up the trunk and branches of the tree by stepping on an illuminated pad.

PR & Events Officer, Rachel Allcock, said: “Guests will be blown away by our mesmerising illuminations and spectacular lantern displays. It will be a wonderful moment to kick off our event season, reminding us all why events like these are so important in bringing people together.”
