Watford Market will be filled with Christmas cheer as carollers, traders offering handmade gifts and the aroma of mulled wine will be in the area.

Watford’s Christmas ‘Market late’ will take place on December 3, offering late night food, drink and live entertainment.

Local music acts Lizzy Hardingham, Cian Darra and Alexander Williams will be performing throughout the event, allowing people to soak up the Christmas atmosphere from under marquee covered seating.

There will be plenty of choice of Christmas food and drinks- from waffles, gingerbread, mulled wine and craft beer – as well as other popular stalls at the market.

Traders will also be selling various stuff for a Christmas gift.

Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “We are really looking forward to seeing people enjoying the market’s festive cheer at our first-ever Christmas Market Lates! For many businesses, Christmas is their busiest time, so it’s really important we support them as much as we can.

“This event presents a great opportunity for people of all ages to soak up the festive atmosphere, pick up some unique Christmas gifts and enjoy a mince pie and mulled wine, whilst supporting the local businesses and traders that make these events possible.

“Shopping locally means money is kept in the local economy – supporting jobs and local families.”

Entry is free to ‘Market Lates’ as it takes place on December 3 from 5.30pm to 10pm.
