A woman has been sentenced after she admitted having a knuckle-duster and attacking someone in Watford town centre.

Kim Clowes, of Bluebell Drive in Abbots Langley, previously pleaded guilty at St Albans Magistrates’ Court to possessing the weapon in The Parade on July 10 this year.

She also pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her on the same day.

The 53-year-old had been granted conditional bail until November 18 - which prevented her from entering Iceland in Albert Road or interfering with the victim.

Clowes has now been sentenced to 20 weeks' prison suspended for 18 months.

During that period she must comply with a mental health treatment requirement and a rehabilitation activity requirement.

Clowes was also made to pay £413, which included £200 compensation and a £128 victim services surcharge.
