A motorist has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds after they were caught speeding at 101mph near Watford.
Shamraz Shakir, of Harpour Road in Barking, was caught tearing along the M1 in an Audi towards Watford without being insured at 12.34pm on May 29 last year.
The 43-year-old was also recorded travelling at 101mph by a Pro Laser 4 on the same day.
The offences were proved in Shakir's absence on November 17.
During sentencing Shakir was fined £440 and ordered to pay a £66 victim services surcharge with £90 costs.
