A man has died and another person was rushed to hospital following a tragic incident at a tube station.

Emergency services flooded Harrow & Wealdstone station around 10.17pm on Thursday, December 2 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

The London Ambulance service says it also recieved reports that a person had been injured by a train.

"We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic, and a medic in car. We also dispatched our hazardous area response team and London's Air Ambulance," a spokesperson said.

"Sadly, despite best efforts, a person died at the scene. We treated a second person and took them to hospital."

British Transport Police confirmed a man died at the scene.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner,” a spokesperson from the force said.

Lines were blocked up to Watford due to the incident, with passengers affected in both directions.

Anyone travelling between Euston and Watford Junction may also be affected this morning as emergency services are still working at the scene.

Disruption is expected to last until midday.
