Stage and screen legend Joan Collins brought a sprinkling of Hollywood glamour to Watford almost 20 years ago when she swept into town to promote her new book.
The actress, who has starred in numerous films but is perhaps best known for playing Alexis Colby in 1980’s soap opera Dynasty, visited Borders bookshop on December 2, 2002 to sign copies of her new book, Joan’s Way.
Our pictures from that day, which you can enjoy again by scrolling down this page, show the star smiling as she got out of her car to be greeted by a queue of around 60 fans at the Waterfields Retail Park store.
The book signing lasted an hour and Borders’ assistant marketing manager Richard Christie told the Watford Observer: “She looked good. She’s a big star but was happy to chat to people, which was great.”
