A building could be brought back to life by becoming a place of worship.

The plans have come forward for the former Beechwood Family Centre in St Albans Road in North Watford.

The planning application was submitted to Watford Borough Council this week.

The former family centre, situated on the corner of Leggatts Wood Avenue, is owned by Hertfordshire County Council but closed as a family centre around ten years ago, according to a planning document.

The details submitted in the application are very minor in the sense it only confirms that it seeks to change the use of a building from a community hall into a place of worship.

The application does not state which religious group the building is intending to become a place of worship for.
