Police are searching for a van driver who hit a jogger and drove off.

A woman was struck as she jogged along The Green in Sarratt at around 8.50am on Monday January 17.

The runner suffered a broken collarbone, police said.

The white van who hit her failed to stop at the scene, choosing to continue travelling in the direction of Croxley Green. Police have launched an investigation to find the driver of that van.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says it is unable to give any further details about the driver or van.

PC Liam Pereira said: "Understandably, the victim was left in a state of shock and was unable to get any further description of the van or the driver.

"I am appealing for anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time and saw anything of note to please contact us. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage.

"I’d also like to appeal to the driver themselves to do the right thing and come forward."

Anyone with information is asked to email PC Pereira at Liam.pereira@herts.police.uk or report online at herts.police.uk/report or call 101, quoting ISR 435 of 17 January.

Or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org.
