Three Rivers District Council has not raised any concerns about plans for a new housing estate just over its border.

A proposal has been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council to redevelop a former golf course in Little Chalfont near Chorleywood.

Applicant Biddulph wants to build around 380 new homes, including affordable housing (152), a retirement village of around 100 new homes and a care home.

The outline planning application also mentions a local centre and public open space on the land between Lodge Lane and Burtons Lane.

An area will also be safeguarded for a new primary school or primary school expansion with nursery, if there is requirement.

Three Rivers District Council has been consulted about the application but no concerns have been raised, with a decision issued on January 24 listed as "no objection".

Writing on behalf of the council, head of regulatory services Kimberley Rowley said: "This council has considered the above application and raises no comment to the application subject to your authority ensuring that the proposal complies with all relevant policies contained in the adopted development plan and guidance contained within the National Planning Policy Framework."

However, a huge amount of objections have been submitted by members of the public to the scheme, Buckinghamshire Council's planning portal shows.
