Police have issued a CCTV image as part of enquiries into a theft at a McDonald's.
At around 3pm on Saturday February 19, a mobile phone was stolen from a person inside the McDonald’s in London Road in Apsley.
Police say a man approached a table, put down a poster of a lost dog over the phone and distracted the victim before leaving with the phone.
PCSO William Liddell said: "I’d like to make people aware of this type of distraction theft and also appeal to anyone who recognises the person in the photo as they were in the area at the time and could help our enquiries."
Information can be reported to police on 101 quoting crime reference 41/13923/22 or by contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org.
