Reports of violence and sexual offences were the highest reported crime in Cornwall in March, according to the latest police data.

Figures from police.uk show there were a total of 2,724 crimes reported across the county in March.

At the time of publishing the crime data is not available for the south and west of Cornwall.

Violence and sexual offences was the most reported crime, with 1,054 reports.

This was followed by anti-social behaviour which was reported 709 times in the same month. 

 

Across the town the third-highest crime was criminal damage and arson which received 296 reports.

Public order offences (144), shoplifting (102) and other theft (141) all received similar rates of reports throughout March in the Cornwall Council area.

The lowest reported crimes were robbery (9), bicycle theft (2) and theft from the person (10).
