Three vehicles that crashed shut lanes on the M25.

Police say that “only minor injuries” have been reported after the crash on the M25 between J19 in Watford and J20 in Hemel Hempstead.

Initially at 3.30pm today (July 2) three lanes were closed and there was 5 miles of congestion due to the accident.

National Highways then reported that one lane has reopened at around 4pm.

This story has been updated as all lanes reopened by 5pm.

According to the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire road policing unit, three vehicles were involved.

Motorists wishing to take the M25 were told to expect about an additional half an hour to normal journey times.

Hertfordshire Constabulary was also contacted for further information.
