The 13-year-old was also further arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, following a separate incident in New Street on the same morning, where another man was allegedly assaulted.

Both remain in police custody at this time.

The Watford local crime unit detective inspector Chris Parperi said: “Although two arrests have been made, enquiries into the incident are continuing and we are still appealing for anyone with information about what happened to please come forward.

“We are also aware that footage of the incident is currently circulating online and we would ask that people please refrain from sharing this, to avoid causing any legal issues for the case moving forward.
