Two 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of theft and dangerous driving. Both have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Inspector Matthew Langley said: “Officers responded quickly to this incident and were able to recover the motorbike and return it to its rightful owner.”

He asked anyone with information to report it online, or by calling 101 quoting ISR 468 of 01 June.

Wayne, a local resident who was nearby, said: "I saw police car after police car heading down to Tolpits Lane behind the moors.
