Bailiffs are set to enforce a notice to vacate after caravans flouted the council's deadline.
Watford Borough Council has confirmed the latest as travellers in Garston Park have not left the land this morning (July 29).
On Thursday evening (July 25), the council confirmed that officers were aware of the camp, which reportedly included “up to 30” vehicles on the grass, and that they were liaising with the police over it.
In a statement the next day, deputy mayor Councillor Aga Dychton said: “We are working with the police and have initiated legal proceedings to clear the unauthorised encampment as soon as possible.

“We do not tolerate unauthorised encampments in our town.
“Garston Park is an award-winning green space, and the council is working hard to ensure that the park remains an area for all to enjoy.”
A ‘notice to vacate land’ was served on Friday, which required the occupants to leave by 8am this morning.
“Since a site visit has confirmed they are still at the park, an eviction notice has now been served, and bailiffs will be enforcing this to ensure the land is vacated,” a council spokesperson has now confirmed.
“We hope this process will proceed smoothly.”
