A connecting road at a motorway junction near Watford is among the roads set to be shut for roadworks.
Herts County Council has published its intention to close the A41 northbound slip road lead to the A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way at its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) in the Public Notice Portal.
This is used to access all of the upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and notices.
Here are five notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in Watford, Chorleywood, Croxley Green and Bushey.
Various roads in Watford, Chorleywood and Croxley Green – temporary closures
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit vehicles from use the following lengths of road to allow works to take place:
- The A41 northbound slip road leading onto the northbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout north westwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, a distance of approximately 420m.
- Solesbridge lane, Chorleywood from its junction with A404 Rickmansworth Road north eastwards to its junction with the access road leading to 'Loudwater Wood House', a distance of approximately 836m.
- Rousebam Lane, Croxley Green from its junction with Little Green Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 365m.
- The Green, Croxley Green from its junction with the A412 Watford Road roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 739m.
- Radlett Road, Watford from its junction with the Colonial Way roundabout south westwards to its junction with Link Road, a distance of approximately 393m.
- In addition, all vehicles will be prevented from being driven in excess of 20mph on the A41 northbound slip road leading onto the northbound carriageway of A41 Northwestern Avenue Colne Way, Watford.
If made, the order will come into force on September 9 and be valid for up to 18 months but restrictions will only apply at the times shown on signs at or near the road.
Gaumont Approach – temporary closure
The county council is intending to make an order to shut Gaumont Approach, Watford from its junction with Albert Road South south eastwards for its entire length, except for access, for roadworks.
This order, if made, is due to come into force on September 8 and be valid for up to 18 months but the restrictions will only apply at times indicated on signs at or near the road.
Chiltern Avenue and The Rutts – temporary closures
An order is set to be made by the county council to prohibit vehicles from using the following lengths of road to allow works to be carried out:
- Chiltern Avenue, Bushey from its junction with Cotswold Avenue south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Oundle Avenue, a distance of approximately 504m.
- The Rutts, Bushey from its junction with A411 Elstree Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with A4140 High Road, a distance of approximately 450m.
If made, this order will come into force on September 9 and be valid for up to 18 months but the restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant locations.
Estate of Audrey Morwood
Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Audrey Morwood, late of 17 Juniper Grove, Watford, who died on December 7, 2022, should send written particulars to VWV LLP, 45 Clarendon Road, Watford, WD17 1SZ.
This should be done on or before October 24, 2024.
Estate of Lynda Mary Ralph
Any person having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Lynda Mary Ralph, late of 82, Gammons Lane, Watford, WD24 5HZ, who died on May 23, 2024 should send details in writing to Hill Dickinson LLP, The Broadgate, 20 Primrose Street, London, EC2A 2EW.
This should be done on or before October 15, 2024.
