Herts Police have confirmed why a busy Watford High Street restaurant has been shut.
The force have quashed rumours of an attack after blood was visible on the floor of McDonald's this afternoon (September 6), confirming that there was no stabbing or assault.
While they were aware that “there is a scene in place”, a spokesperson said that a “medical incident” had occurred and it was due to the resulting blood.

They added that medical information about the individual involved could not be shared.
Watford High Street McDonald’s staff have apparently told members of the public that they are unsure when the shop floor will be able to reopen but the location is currently taking delivery orders only.
Pictures show the restaurant being cleaned. An East of England Ambulance Service operational commander vehicle can be seen in the High Street.
