Works by utility companies will lead to the closure of roads in and around the centre of Watford in the coming weeks.
Gartlet Road, Estcourt Road, Langley Road and Rosslyn Road are among the streets that will be affected by the closures at various times until the first week of October, while delays are likely on other busy routes due to other roadworks.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place in Watford, Bushey and Rickmansworth until the start of next month:
- Overnight delays are likely in Hyde Road, Watford, from 9pm on Monday to 5am on Tuesday when a lane will be closed for works by 02 Ltd.
- Two-way traffic lights will be in use in London Road, Rickmansworth, from 9.30am to 3.30pm when Openreach will be carrying out works.
- Delays are likely in Stephenson Way, Watford, from 9pm on Thursday to 5am on Friday, September 27 when a lane will be closed on the northbound carriageway between the junction with the A411 and the junction with Colonial Way. This is to allow inspection works to be carried out.
- Works by Affinity Water mean both Gartlet Road and Escourt Road, Watford, will be closed to vehicles overnight from 8pm to 6am, from Wednesday to Friday, September 27.
- Delays are likely in Merry Hill Road, Bushey, from September 28 to September 29 when Affinity Water will be carrying out works. Two-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Bridle Path, Watford, will be closed from September 30 to October 2 for works by Affinity Water. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
- Works by 02 Ltd mean Langley Road, Watford, will be shut to vehicles from 9.30am to 4pm on October 1. A diversion will be in operation but emergency access will be maintained.
- Rosslyn Road, Watford, will be shut from October 1 to October 3 for works by Affinity Water. Emergency access will be maintained and a diversion will be in operation.
