Motorists are likely to experience delays on one of Watford’s busiest routes at the start of next week when part of it will be closed for roadworks.
The slip road between the A405 and A41 will be shut for several hours on Monday and Tuesday to allow overgrowing vegetation to be cut back.
A number of other roads in the Watford area will be closed for other works – including filming – in the next two weeks.
The following information is sourced from the One.Network website and is a selection of the works due to take place in the coming weeks:
- Delays are likely in Merry Hill Road, Bushey, on Saturday and Sunday when Affinity Water will be carrying out works. Two-way traffic lights will be in use.
- Part of the A41 North Western Avenue, Watford, will be shut to motorists from 9.30am to 4pm on Monday and Tuesday to cut back overgrowing vegetation. The closure will be in place on the slip road from the A405 to the A41 and a diversion will be in operation.
- Bridle Path, Watford, will be closed from Monday to Wednesday for works by Affinity Water. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
- Works by 02 Ltd mean Langley Road, Watford, will be shut to vehicles from 9.30am to 4pm on Tuesday. A diversion will be in operation but emergency access will be maintained.
- Garston Lane, Watford, will be closed to motorists from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Tuesday for works by Network Rail. The closure will affect both Garston Lane and The Gossamers but emergency access will be maintained at all times.
- Rosslyn Road, Watford, will be shut from Tuesday to Thursday for works by Affinity Water. Emergency access will be maintained and a diversion will be in operation.
- Shady Lane, Watford, will be closed on Monday, October 7 for a ‘filming event’. The closure will be in force from midnight to midnight, a diversion will be in place but emergency access will be maintained at all times.
