A man from Watford has been fined after pleading guilty to shoplifting.
Marc Harwood, of Leavesden Road, was arrested and charged with theft at 12.30pm on Wednesday after stealing food and drink from the Marks and Spencer in St Peters Street, in St Albans.

He appeared at Hatfield Remand Court yesterday (October 17), and pleaded guilty to the charge.
The 38-year-old has been ordered to pay £200 in fines, and £80 in court costs.
His arrest came as part of a crackdown for safer business action week, a national initiative to tackle business and retail crime in communities.
