A headteacher from Watford has been suspended from work, the county council has confirmed.
Mahrukh Mistry, the headteacher of Holywell Primary School, has been temporarily suspended on full pay, “in order to allow a fair investigation into a concern that has been raised”, Hertfordshire County Council has said.
In a statement, the council's media manager, Jan Vine, added: “Once the investigation has been completed, it will be possible to determine what action will be needed, if any.
“Interim leadership arrangements at the school have been put in place to make sure that the education of pupils is not adversely affected.”
The Watford Observer understands Ms Mistry was suspended on Friday.
The county council refused to say what prompted the suspension.
We understand parents at the Tolpits Lane school have been notified.
