A primary school in Watford has closed today after a pupil tested positive for swine flu.

Central Primary School, in Derby Road, will today close after the H1N1 pandemic spread to the school.

It is not yet known how old the infected pupil is, although the school has said just one child has so far tested positive for the bug.

A message of the school's website told parents the school will now be shut until Monday, July 6, and asked parents to collect their children as soon as possible.

The news follows the closure of Queens' School, in Bushey, on Tuesday.

The Aldenham Road school now has 23 confirmed cases of swine flu, although that number could be much higher.
