An IT consultant from Watford has won an award at a ceremony that recognises the positive impact remote working has played in the work life of individuals or companies.
Derek Pattenson, of Small Office Solutions, was named the winner in the Freelance Consultant Category of the Remote Worker Awards 2009.
Derek founded Small Office Solutions Ltd back in 1995, with the aim of providing independent IT support to small businesses and employees working from home. He now delivers most of the company's services remotely, with clients across Europe, North America and Europe.
