The Royal National Institute for the Blind is hosting a “bonfire spectacular” this weekend.

The event has been arranged to officially launch RNIB Sunshine House School's new collaboration with Grangewood School.

Sunshine House offers specialist education and care for children aged two to 11 who have sight loss and multiple disabilities, and has recently announced it will be sharing resources with special school Grangewood.

John Ayres, executive head, said, "We really wanted to mark our new collaboration with a fun and exciting event that could involve everyone in the local community.”

The celebratory event will feature arts and crafts, games and cooking, and will culminate in an fireworks display at the end of the day, with over 250 people expected to attend.

The event takes place at RNIB Sunshine House School, 33 Dene Road, Northwood, Middlesex HA6 2DD on Sunday November 8, from 2-5pm.
