A 22-year-old man killed in a car crash in Watford has been named.
Chris Puddifoot, from Northwood, was travelling in a BMW which collided with a Vauxhall Astra in Hampermill Lane, at around 5.20pm, yesterday.
Mr Puddifoot, who was sat in the front passenger seat of the BMW, died following the crash.
Inspector Andy Piper said: “Our thoughts are with Chris’ family; understandably they are devastated. “Specially trained family liaison officers are with them at this time.
“Investigations continue and I would like to appeal to anyone who saw what happened or saw either vehicle prior to the collision to contact the investigating team.”
The driver of the BMW, a man in his 20s, was taken to Watford General hospital for treatment. The driver of the Astra, a man in his 60s was also taken to hospital and has since been released.
Hampermill Lane was closed for a number of hours whilst investigations took place.
