Historian Guy Leus, from Belgium, is searching for information about a man who died when a plane crashed in Garston.
Mr Leus wrote: “I’m looking for more details about a crew member of a Vickers Wellington bomber, which crashed in Geetbets, Belgium, on August 28, 1942.
“His name is Antoni Marian Wasiak and he belonged to the 301st Polish Squadron.
“He survived the crash, as did the other five crew members, was taken care of by the local resistance and managed to get back to England, but apparently died in another crash on April 13, 1947, when a RAF Vickers Wellington NA735 crashed in Garston, Hertfordshire.
“I would like to know what happened. The last one of the crew members died in July 2009.”
