A FLYING instructor and his student were forced to land their aircraft in Amersham Road, Chorleywood, opposite The Garden Centre, on Saturday, September 28, at about 4.45pm.
According to a Rickmansworth firefighter, the aircraft, from Denham, in Gerrards Cross, was flying quite low and was forced to slow down and make an emergency landing after it encountered engine trouble.
The firefighter said two people were in the craft, one was an instructor and the other was a pupil taking a lesson, he said: "The craft made an emergency landing, our fire crew attended, no one was hurt and the incident was not serious."
